Desert Lizard Care started the way most reptile collections do: with one bearded dragon that was supposed to be the only one. Bearded dragons and leopard geckos turned out to be the gateway, low-maintenance once the setup is right, legal almost everywhere, and endlessly interesting to watch.
Everything on this site is written from the perspective of someone actually keeping these animals, not a content farm skimming spec sheets. Recommendations are chosen by comparing specs, prices, and what owners and keepers report holds up over time, not by gut feel or manufacturer marketing copy, and gear that has a poor track record gets named as such.
How picks get made
Recommendations are based on published specs, verified buyer and keeper feedback, and price-to-value comparisons, updated as models change and new options show up. Affiliate links help cover the cost of running this site; they never decide which product gets recommended.
